Capturing emotion in Portraits

I asked myself again and again why I felt emotionally connected to this picture. I came to realise that to reproduce the feeling in the picture I had to first feel what she felt when it was captured. So feel the picture, it is important when first learning to draw to get pictures that you like so that you can easily get to feel what you’re drawing.

The challenge still continues and I’ll post an update on the other pictures in consequent days.

Love.

I am not an artist on canvas or any non-virtual media, but what I do know as Emma has stated you’ve got to start from your vantage point, excellence will flow from the niche you are comfortable with and I think the commentary above encapsulises the first and most important stage in any endeavour, drawing inclusive. Good one Emma!
